Where it starts
Our founder, Mohammed Mokhles Murad, grew up in Palestine, where kunafa is part of everyday life: trays coming off the flame in the morning, and a crowd at the sweets shop after Friday prayer. He learned it the way it's made there, by hand, with no shortcuts.

The first shop, Al Muraqqabat
He opened the first Firas shop in Al Muraqqabat, Deira. One counter, one flame, and round trays turned by hand. Neighbours came for kunafa that tasted like home, and they kept coming back.

One branch at a timeفرع ورا فرع
Word spread the way it should, slowly. Over the years Firas grew one branch at a time: Al Qusais, Al Dyafa and International City, with our own factory in Al Qusais behind them.

The family
His family runs Firas the way Mohammed did: the same tray, the same flame, the same flip. And the rule he started with still stands. If it isn't hot and fresh, it doesn't leave the counter.
